Vol. 11/8 Jeremiah the prophet of God.

Jeremiah lived to see the good times which God brought upon Judah and Israel.

And then Jeremiah heard from God of the captivity that was to come upon the people and they hated and despised the word of correction that could have saved them had they listened to that word of God delivered through God's prophet.

And Jeremiah saw the destruction brought by God because of the wickedness of the people and Jeremiah saw the people carried away captive and Jerusalem ruined.

Jeremiah was one of the prophets born to grief.  (But isn't it so with all prophets?)  For the people turn from God's word and worship those things that cannot prosper themselves.

And God brings HIS judgments.

***

Jeremiah 1

4 Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

6 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

7 But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.

9 Then the Lord put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put MY words in thy mouth.

10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

A terrible thing from God is going to come upon the children of God in the time of Jeremiah the prophet and they will not escape God's judgment.

We can read these passages of scripture and even know terrible things ordained by God upon the churches today where they have discarded and changed the Word of God, the scriptures, and have sought other gods in the praise of this world.  And we know in the end will come the great tribulation from God to judge the wrongdoers.  And they will not escape.

Jeremiah 1  God says ...

15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the Lord; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.

16 And I will utter My judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken Me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee:

***

Jeremiah 2    God says:

7 And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled My land, and made Mine heritage an abomination.

8 The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew Me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

***

Jeremiah 2   (God says:)

11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but My people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord.

13 For My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken Me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that My fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts.

26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets.

30 In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

***

Both Judah and Israel turn from God:

Jeremiah 3

6 The Lord said also unto me (unto Jeremiah) in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.

7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

***

God says concerning Judah:

Jeremiah 3   (God says)

10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto Me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the Lord.

Judah only pretended to turn to God but she didn't.

Don't we know that God sees all?

***

Jeremiahs 3   (Jeremiah says)

23 Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.

24 For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.

25 We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.

***

Jeremiah 4

3 For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.

4 Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest My fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

7 The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

8 For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the Lord is not turned back from us.

9 And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the Lord, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.

14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

18 Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.

20 Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.

21 How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

22 For My people is foolish, they have not known Me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

27 For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

(The people were sentenced by God to 70 years of captivity.)

28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

29 The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

***

Jeremiah 5

1 Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

2 And though they say, The Lord liveth; surely they swear falsely.

3 O Lord, are not Thine eyes upon the truth? Thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; Thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

4 Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.

5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

6 Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

7 How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken Me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

8 They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour's wife.

9 Shall I not visit
(judge) for these things? saith the Lord: and shall not My soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against Me, saith the Lord.

13 And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

To Jermiah, the real prophet of God, HE says:

Jeremiah 5:14    Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make My words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it (the word) shall devour them.

15 Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the Lord: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

16 Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men.

17 And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

18 Nevertheless in those days, saith the Lord, I will not make a full end with you.

(This was not going to be the end of the world but a captivity judgment from God.)

19 And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the Lord our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken Me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not your's.

Their captivity is prophesied by Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 5:21    Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

22 Fear ye not Me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at My presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and MY people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

They all love evil and not good.

Many, if not most, in the New Testament churches today love the evil set up in their churches, things done by man in the churches, and not prescribed by God for the church in the New Testament Bible.

And so many in chuches do not care if that which they do in their churches is not in the New Testament Bible.  They head for destructions and damnation because of this,

II Thessalonians 2:10-12  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Today they have New Testament Bible but they do not care to follow those instructions in the New Testament church but set up their own way.

They disregard the rules for the gathering of the church as set forth by the apostle Paul in the New Testament Bible.

These instructions were changed by evil  men and the people  in the churches today love the false doctrines and the pomp which was not planned for the church by Jesus.  They planned their own religious rituals which have no power from God as did the service planned by God for the church today.

I Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

Provision was made for the prophets to speak "two or three".  Today many church  groups are being told there are no prophets.  No warnings are given for the congregations as was planned in I Corinthians 14.

The Holy Spirit is eliminated in many church groups by their set up whereby the forbid the Holy Spirit to speak and many in the church groups do not even have the Holy Spirit and do not follow the Spirit and are not real Christians but have put themselves in the churches by their own will.

The following scripture defines the real Christians.

Romans 8:14   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

So what we find in churches today is a "form" of religion without the power of God as was intended and shown in the New Testament Bible because man set up his churches by his own ideas and did not follows the rules set forth for the church in the New Testament Bible.  And they worship their church designs today as "idols" were worshipped in the Old Testament.

Jeremiah 6

6 For thus hath the Lord of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited (judged by God); she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.

7 As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before Me continually is grief and wounds.

8 Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest My soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.

9 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.

10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

***

Jeremiah 6:12 And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out MY hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the Lord.

13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit
(judge) them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.

16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto MY words, nor to MY law, but rejected it.

25 Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side.

30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the Lord hath rejected them.

***

God turned HIS people over to the enemy because they refused to hear HIS Word and they failed to delight in HIS Word but set up other doctrines and other objects of worship for themselves.

***

Judgment comes from God upon the end time churches and this world today:

Surely none of us expect this time in which we live to be different.  God brings HIS judgments upon the churches who have rejected portions of HIS word and have pleased themselves with doctrines that are opposite to the Word of God and therefore have set up idols for themselves to  worship

Vol. 11/7 Promises valid for today's church spoken by Isaiah the prophet.

There are several promises of God in the book of Isaiah the prophet which are still useful for the church today.

Isaiah 54

15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by ME: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the Lord.

In 1977, I owned a small business, American Indian Arts, in Dallas, Texas.  A man filed a lawsuit against me and against several other art dealers.

I hired a lawyer to represent me.  But the legal bills were devouring the profits from my business.

I was a new Christian at the time.  I saw the promise from God in Isaiah 54:17 and decided that lawsuit could not prosper against me since I was now a Christians.  So I decided to dismiss my attorney and go to court without any human legal counsel.

It was a very trying experience for me and the case drug on for several months.

God sustained me through the time by calling various scripture to my attention to give me faith in HIM.

Six days before the trial was scheduled in the US Courts, the man dropped all charges against everyone.

I know this promise from God in Isaiah 54:17 is valid for us today.

***

God promises a "new Jerusalem" for HIS people:

Isaiah 65

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

God shows the apostle John this "new Jerusalem."

Revelations 21:

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

Also the apostle Peter spoke of this "new earth" in the following scripture.

II Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

This present earth as we know it will never be righteousness.  But the new heaven and new earth will have only righteousness in it.  We long for that new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

In the year 2002, I built a house in Lubbock, Texas.  The house went over budget and I didn't think I would be able to live in the house.

God called the following scripture, a promise from God, to my attention.

Isaiah 65

21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.

I did live in that house from 2003 through 2018.  God did not allow this work to be removed from me.

I know this to be another valid promise for the church today.

***

Isaiah 65

24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Many times this has happened to me.

***

God announces salvation for the Gentiles.

Isaiah 65

1 I am sought of them that asked not for Me; I am found of them that sought Me not: I said, Behold Me, behold Me, unto a nation that was not called by MY name.

***

Isaiah 66

15 For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with His chariots like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire.

16 For by fire and by His sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.

22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.

***

Isaiah 55

6 Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

***

Isaiah speaks of the great tribulation of the end times:

Isaiah 54

10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

***

Isaiah 51

6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and My righteousness shall not be abolished.

Isaiah 41

11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

With whom took HE counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of judgment, and taught Him knowledge, and shewed to Him the way of understanding?

Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

All nations before Him are as nothing; and they are counted to Him less than nothing, and vanity.

There is no one like God.  Trust HIM.

Isaiah 40:18-25   To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto Him?

The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.

Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and HE shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

To whom then will ye liken ME, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

***

Isaiah 40:28-  Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

(To "wait" upon the Lord is to be like a good servant, watching so when the Master calls he can answer immediately.)

Vol. 11/4 Promises of God and other prophecies from Isaiah the prophet.

Isaiah 25

8 HE will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of HIS people shall HE take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and HE will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

***

Isaiah 26

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.
4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

***

Isaiah 26

20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

***

Isaiah 28:22 ... for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

***

Isaiah 29

13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near ME with their mouth, and with their lips do honour ME, but have removed their heart far from ME, and their fear toward ME is taught by the precept of men:

14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

***

Isaiah 30

1  Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of Me; and that cover with a covering, but not of MY spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at MY mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

***

Isaiah 30

9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord:

10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.

12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:

13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.

14 And HE shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; HE shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.

15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.

(God is wisdom and God is truth.  Seek God's wisdom always!)

***

Isaiah 30:18    And therefore will the Lord wait, that HE may be gracious unto you, and therefore will HE be exalted, that HE may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for Him.

***

Isaiah 30

21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

22 Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.

***

Isaiah 31

1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

2 Yet HE also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back HIS words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

(Seek God and not man.)

***

Isaiah 31:7   For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

(Then they will see how worthless these idols are and they will know there is no help in such as these.)

***

Isaiah 32

17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
18 And MY people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

***

Isaiah 33

5 The Lord is exalted; for HE dwelleth on high: HE hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.

***

Isaiah 33:22    For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; HE will save us.

Isaiah prophesies concerning the end of the earth:

Isaiah 34:4    And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

***

Isaiah 34:8-9

8 For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

9 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch

***

Isaiah 35:4   Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; HE will come and save you.

***

Isaiah 35:10  And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

The king of Assyria sets his army against king Hezekiah:

The people of God prayed and the following happened.

Isaiah 37

33 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it.

34 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the Lord.

35 For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

36 Then the angel of the Lord went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

That one angel killed 185,000 men!

Vol. 11/4 Isaiah 24

This sounds like the great tribulation:

Isaiah 24

1 Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.

3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this word.
4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

7 The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh.

8 The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.

9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.

10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

11 There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.

12 In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.

13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.

14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the Lord, they shall cry aloud from the sea.

15 Wherefore glorify ye the Lord in the fires, even the name of the Lord God of Israel in the isles of the sea.

16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.

18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited (judged).

23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

In approximately 1982, God gave me a dream showing me the following:

A terrible event from God happened upon this earth.  The earth slipped on it's axis.  The government had called together scientists, politicians, and religious leaders to see what could be done to stop this thing that was happening.

A newscaster was trying to give a news report but he was so afraid that he just stopped trying to talk and he walked off stage and disappeared.

I think the last statement is so important for newscasters try to look on camera like they really care, but this time the newscaster really did care.  He knew this would affect him also.  He was so fearful that he couldn't even speak about the event.  He just got up and walked out of the broadcast studio and it was left empty.

By this we know the event that is yet to come is different, so far,  from the Coronavirus of 2020, for the newcasters are still talking and pretending to care.

Vol. 11/3 Isaiah 11-13

Isaiah 11:16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of HIS people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

***

Isaiah 12

1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise Thee: though Thou wast angry with me, Thine anger is turned away, and Thou comfortedst me.

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; HE also is become my salvation.

3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon His name, declare His doings among the people, make mention that His name is exalted.

5 Sing unto the Lord; for HE hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

Isaiah sees the day of the Lord:

Isaiah 13

6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:

8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger.
